Benefits of Walking
According to many doctors, exercise scientists, and health experts, walking may be the best kind of exercise you can get. According to the American Heart Association, just walking briskly for 30 minutes most days (150 minutes/week) can reduce your risk of heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar. In addition, walking (especially outdoors) can positively impact symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as reduce stress levels and improve sleep patterns. Walking is the total health package!
